Who is filing into Saudi beauty?
Every cosmetic sold in Saudi Arabia is notified in a public register that names the brand, the filing company, the country of manufacture and the expiry date. Read for 2024 against 2025 and 2026, three things stand out: Asian makers file faster, Saudi-made filings are flat, and 124,604 live notifications expire by the end of 2027.

What changed, and what it does not say.
Each number compares the pace per month: twelve months of 2024 against the twenty months from January 2025 to the date our register copy is complete to. A notification counts where the product is made, which is not always the brand's home: a French brand made in Italy counts as Italy.

Dates. A notification is counted in the year it was filed, five years before its expiry date. "Since January 2025" runs from 1 Jan 2025 to 6 Sep 2026, 20.2 months, and is compared with 2024 per month.
Countries. The declared country of manufacture. Asia is China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and South-East Asia; Saudi and Gulf is Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman. Notifications with no declared country are left out.
Limits. A notification is a product filing. It says nothing about volumes, sales, imports or agreements; a brand with no filing may still be in talks.
